North Batinah Directorate celebrates the International Day for People with Disabilities
In the celebration of International Day for People with Disabilities, North Batinah Directorate represented by Department of Special Education organized a special day on this occasion.
The event was under the auspices of Abdulrahman bin Salem Al Qassimi, Director of Consumer Protection in North Batinah and attended by educators, specialists in the field of disabilities and parents. The activities were in Al Hikmah basic education school at Sohar and they began by planting a hope tree in the courtyard of Al-Hikma School. Also the attendance wrote statements about disability in a solidarity panel, which included a record of signatures of people with special disabilities and what people in the community write about them. Also a seminar was held at the side of the celebration to define people with disabilities and how to deal with them as well as the Sultanate's efforts in this area.
