Media Coordinators Workshop Concludes in Al Sharqiya North Governorate
Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al Harrasi, General Director of General Directorate of Education, emphasized in his speech in Wahat Al Ibda’a Hall that the role of media coordinator is not limited to transfer the school’s news but they must be an active member who creates effective dialogue in all educational issues through social media platforms.
He mentioned that the media coordinators are the basis of educational media in schools so they should focus on aspects that concern the field, discuss learning motivation and seek direct dialogue with target group whether they are students or teachers or specialists.
As part of the workshop, a number of papers in photojournalism and social media networks which to sharpen media coordinators skills and acquire them with different knowledge and media skills sets.
Deputy Director of Educational Media Department in MOE presented a paper in press releases and gave an introduction to news elements, and parts as well as practical activities, in addition to a paper about feature articles by Shamsa Al Nomanih focusing on articles, types and the most important characteristics of each type.
