27020 employees promoted at cost of 57.300 million Omani Rials
H.E. Mustafa bin Ali bin Abdullatif, Undersecretary of MOE for Administrative and Financial Affairs, declared that MOE started with procedures of promoting employees of year 2009 at cost of 57.300 million Omani Rials. He mentioned that the real cost will be determined in light of the differences that will be actually calculated in accordance with Ministry of Finance approval to promote the Civil Sector employees of year 2009 and under letters to the ministries in this regard.
H.E. added that promotion differences will be issued with retroactive pay starting from 1/1/2014. There will teams to implement the promotion and to make sure of employees details. The promotion procedures are expected to complete within 45 days and it is worth mentioning that the teams are working day and night to complete the mission. The decisions will be issued according to the oldest in service.
He concluded that he expected that the number of employees who will receive their promotion in August is 3500 beneficiaries which means that daily achievement rate is 700 decisions since starting the work from the beginning of this week. According to this rate, it is expected that the promotion procedures will be completed no later than October in case of no obstacles appear.
