MOE holds the Opening Ceremony of 5th Academic Training Program for Experienced Teachers

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr Said bin Hamad Al Rubaie,  Secretary General for the Education Council, MoE launched the 5th Academic Training Program for Experienced Teachers in Grand Hall at Sultan Qaboos University, in presence of general directors, heads of departments, academics, trainers and teachers. This program is designed by General Directorate of Human Resource Development and stemmed from the belief of the importance of teachers vocational development in educational and academic fields. The program will continue until 26th June.

The program will include SQU speech, MoE speech and a presentation about activities and achievements of the 4th of the Academic Training Program for Experienced Teachers  .

Dr Bader Al Kharousi, General Director of General Directorate of Human Resource Development in the Ministry, said that this program is set to develop experienced teachers’ academic competencies, and to provide information, updates, educational, scientific and modern approaches of the educational process. This program gives them a unique opportunity to spend two weeks at SQU where they can share knowledge with SQU academics.  

The training program includes various morning and evening activities that will be held to ensure the benefit of this program, Al Karousi added. The morning period will shed lights on implementing academic and educational content of the program whereas the evening period will focus on  enriching  their experiences and to exchange knowledge with their partners from various governorates.  

 It is worth mentioning that an introductory meeting for participants was held on Sunday in the Grand Hall at SQU and participants were divided in the training halls according to their specializations.
