Moe organized a press conference at the MOE cabinet in Ruwi about the details of qualitative and quantitative expansion on  students numbers at the summer program for academic year 2014 .The program will be held from June  14-28  , titled “ My Summer is loyalty  and belonging " and chaired by HE Dr.Salim bin Saeed AL Bahri ,Adviser to the Ministry of Education for Community Relations and the Chairman of the Main Committee of the Program in presence of Nasser AL Kindi , Assistant General Director , Fathiah AL Sadi , Main  Committee Rapporteur and others . It differs this year through its three main activities in culture, science and sports. There will be 120 centers in the wilayats of the Sultanate accommodating 15,000 students with 125 students in every center.  Dr.Salim  said: “Summer program has become an annual practice and a healthy route for the ministry to enhance its social roles as well as to deliver its educational message out of actual classrooms through providing students with multiple activities in which knowledge meets with entertainment”.

“Because of the Minister’s continuous follow-up and encouragement, the program has contributed effectively in investing the students’ talents and potentials and directing them efficiently through practical activities,” he added.
This year, the program aims to achieve a number of goals like building positive, balanced characters in all psychological, social, cultural, religious and ethical sides by enforcing the program’s objectives in students. It also aims to infuse citizenship and loyalty concepts. “For that reason we have chosen this year’s slogan to be “My summer, loyalty and belonging”, Al Bahri added.
