Mustafa Abdullateef Opens The Regional Conference of Special Needs Students
MOE in collaboration with British Council organized a regional conference of special needs students, yesterday morning for three days . It was under the patronage of HE Mustafa Abdullateef , the MOE Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs in presence of GCC delegations and Middle East in Crown Plaza Hotel in Muscat .
At the beginning , Dr.Hanan AL Shihi , the International Educational Programs Head delivered a speech where she emphasized on special needs students integration in government schools and different challenges which face its application .She added that the integration targeted to give the normal students an opportunity to know the special needs students ,their feelings and problems .
Dr.Hanan said also that the MOE took care of this kind of students by building special schools for special needs students and adopting a number of educational programs such as , Learning Difficulties Treatment and Hearing and Mental Difficulties Students program .Moreover , the conference included various workshops and worksheets which focused on special needs students programs development and the necessity to exchange experiences and ideas of integration programs with other participating delegations from GCC , UK and Middle East .
