HE Dr Madiha Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, visited yesterday wilayat Al Mazyona in Dhofar in order to view the educational process in schools and to meet both educational and administration authorities. HE was accompanied by Hamad Al Rashdi, General Director of General Directorate of Education IN Dhofar and number of officials .

During the visit HE visited Al Mazyona Basic Education School (1-12) for girls and  Omar bin Abdul Aziz Basic Education School(5-12) for boys. In both visits she met the schools administrations and viewed the students’  levels of achievements and the completeness of faculty and administrative body in each school. In the visit HE talked about number of subjects such as the school role in aware community about education, the importance of parents following up their kids in schools, the importance of joining school in early age and enhance community cooperation. Also, HE met Number of Sheikhs in wilayat al Mazyona, heads of parents councils and parents. HE declared that the ministry is undertaking two project to build two integral schools one of them for grades 1-4 and teachers campus in Habrot this along with number of additions in Omar bin Abdul Aziz Basic Education School.

At the end HE mentioned that the ministry is working recently on preparing integral study to view educational supervision offices in different governorates. This study comes within the existing work to assess education reforms brought by His Majesty in order to achieve the actual educational needs of the community.
