In the framework of the Ministry’s interest in talented students and in line with the enrichment program concept for talented training as a method of care; the Ministry implemented for the first time (Decentralization Training Workshops for innovator students 2013/2014) program; by the General Directorate for Educational Program, Department of Special Education Programs, and Outstanding Performers Care Section. The program has 11 workshops, implemented in all Governorates, and the program aimed to coach (330) students, and each workshop lasted for 4 days. 

The training program started directly after its adoption at the end of first semester in Musandam, and at the beginning of second semester, the training workshops starts its work in the next station Dhofar and then through the rest of the governorates. With the beginning of this week (Sun.) 20/4/2014 the workshops convey arrived to its last station in Muscat Governorate in Majan Hall in General Directorate of Education.

It’s worth to mention that, the administration and implementation of the training workshops has been developed to fit with the large providence so as to benefit the largest possible number of talented students; where they divided the workshops to two outlying centers by 20 students in each center. In consequence, the number involved in the program topped the limits of 400 students.

As well, the Ministry cooperated with the inventor Hilal bin Salem Al-Sayabi to implement the training workshop for innovators. He has (13) international legal right, numerous of inventions in Electronic field and metallurgical chemistry and register as a researcher with the British university (UCL).

The General Directorate for Educational Program thanked all Officials in the Ministry and other agencies that supported the program in all Educational Program Department in the Governorates, other agencies as training centers in the governorates, and Cognitive Development Program. As well, the Directorate represented in the relevant authorities hoped to continue the cooperation in implementing the Enrichment Program that targeted the Outstanding and gifted student directly.
