Activating Educational Portal System Link Project for rural Schools Principals in Dhofar
Within the frame work of MOE to activate communication process between educational institutions and the educational field, the General Directorate of Education in Dhofar held a meeting with schools principals in Islamic Science Institution in Salalah.
The meeting started with speech by Amina Al Awadi, Director of IT Department, where she talked about the educational portal as linking channel and linking project between educational portal and general administration of civil status. She mentioned the importance, purpose and process of this linking.
After that Said Al Shahri, Systems Supervisor in the Educational Portal, talked about implementation process, steps of checking students ID number and explain how to deal with GCC students or foreign student data.
During the meeting there was discussion between school principals and IT department about technical difficulties experienced by some schools to get on internet. At the end school principals received laptops with high quality, modem and phone chip in order to ease communication at their schools.
