Under the auspices of Salim bin Ovait Al Shanfari, head of Dhofar Municipality, AlDahareez School organized in collaboration with the Directorate General of Education in Governorate of Dhofar the first forum for family and educational society under the banner of (My children is my responsibility - We both educate and teach).

Sheikh Ahmed bin Salem Al Shanfari and Fahd bin Salim Bait Fadhil gave a Lecture about family breakdown and its impact on children socially, educationally and behaviorally. Then Sheik Abdullah bin Salem Sakroon gave a lecture entitled (Prophet's guidance in marriage, divorce, and education). Then Dr. Muslim bin Ahmed Al Maashani presented (My son, his behavior has change) and professor Mohamed bin Tamman Al Maashani presented about (modern means of communication and its negative impact on our values).

The campaign aims to determine the impact of social separation on children psychologically, socially and educationally, and to identify the causes of children’s behavior delinquency, as well as to educate parents of the best methods to follow-up their children, and protect them from the impact of modern means of communication and its role in changing thoughts, ethics and values of society. It also aims to spread awareness among teachers and administrative and social workers of students’ problems.  

About the campaign Bashaiyb said “This educational campaign was launched by the Directorate General of Education in Dhofar on Friday, 1st of October 2010 in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality and community institutions and it is sponsored by Bank Muscat. This campaign came to support the efforts of the Ministry of Education in its programs and activities which aim to improve the academic achievement”.
