"Kids Read" project at Muscat Directorate

Under the auspices of HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Tobi adviser to Ministry of Education, there were activities of the project "Kids read" at Al Hadhara Basic Education School at Muscat Directorate. 

The project was implemented by British Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and in presence of Ms. Sana bent Hamad Al Busaidi Director-General of Education in Governorate of Muscat and Ewan Stirling, Executive Director of (HSBC) Bank in the Sultanate and a number of officials and educators.

Stephen Monteith Director of Teaching English Projects at British Council gave an explanation about the project and its importance to be applied. He said that the project "Kids read" is a plan developed to help children love reading inside and outside school in Middle East counties. This year project aims to 25 thousand students and thousands of teachers. Also there are 250 volunteers from HSBC and thousands of parents to assist in delivering the intended message which is "reading is fun".
