Teachers and Students of GLOBE Environmental Program Visits Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
GLOBE program organized number of events and activities including participation in environmental gatherings organized by neighboring countries to GLOBE environmental program. The program divided the organized countries into regions according to geographic location and culture similarity. Oman follows Middle East and Northern Africa region which called NENA and 13 countries participates in this program.
The program aims to exchange experiences and view the program implementation process in other countries. The Sultanate team visited KSA for three days from 11 to 13 of March 2013. The team included two teachers and three students. The program included meeting with KSA program team, visited number of schools implemented the program and attended number of training workshops where the Sultanate’s students will present their activities and achievements. It’s to be noted that, this visit is the first regional visit and there will be other regional visits.
