Training program to activate continues evaluation in Muscat Directorate
Controlling and Evaluating Learning and Performance Section in Educational Evaluation Department at Muscat Directorate implemented a training program for senior teachers. The program continues for 5 days about methods of activating the continues evaluation tools in different curriculums, in the framework of the department interest to develop the teachers skills in student evaluation field and based on the visits of technicians members in the section. Also, monitoring the training requirement for teachers related to evaluating the students learning process through the first semester in the year 2013/2014.
The program included worksheets to explain the meaning of evaluation and its importance, goals, types, and tools, as well as, the student Portfolio in Social Studies, General Science, Arabic, Math, Islamic, and English Curriculum. Also, the program include an applied practical side about how to distribute the grades, activate the private record, and activate every tool of continues evaluation in the classroom actions that include short test, class activities, homework, oral work, reports, practical performance, observation notes, the projects , and final exams.
