MOE concluded on Thursday morning the training program activities for supervisors and teachers of GLOBE program. The program organized by the Ministry represented by the International Educational Programs Office in period from forth to sixth of March in Safeer International Hotel in Alkhuwair.

GLOBE program is a worldwide program school-based science and education program focusing on the environment. It works to connect students and schools with all levels of education and teachers and connect research community with international community specialized in science to study cases related to international environment .  

21 of supervisors and teachers from six directorates participated in the program. The program aimed to improve students’ achievement across the curriculum with a focus on students’ research in environmental and earth system science, enhance awareness and support activities of individuals throughout the world to benefit the environment. Also, it aimed to improve students’ academic achievement in science, social studies and math and employ global network of international connections in research and connect with the outside world.     

It is worth mentioning that MOE implemented the program in the academic year 2011-2012 in three directorates Muscat, Dhahirah and North Sharqiyah. In the second year they added three more directorates north Batina, Dhofar and Dakhiliyah. In the third year the number of directorates implemented the program completed.
