MOE: National Examinations Transacted Smoothly and Timeous Auto-Correction
Dr. Zwaina Al-Maskryh, Director General of Educational Evaluation Directory declared that: I would like to confirm and assure that the Grade 12 National Diploma (ND) for the first semester 2013/2014 examinations centers and departments are working in accurate performance and timeous as planned; where the student have finished most of the seating examinations and left with two exams only to be done. The ministry has been working in unwavering movement to maintain all support, professionalism and environment through continuous field visits touring carried out by the minister advisors across the country.
In regard to the technical development in automated data correction systems she said that: out of the ministry vivid endeavor to provide the best and most accurate data systems the ministry has installed all quality assurance measures to grant sufficient, accurate qualitative data and maintain qualitative and quantitative relevant data beside deploying an Arabic version of the software.
The newly mounted system differs than the old system as it requires poles apart technical support and thus it takes more time for automated correction. She also said: at the beginning we was faced by some challenges in the new application but we succeeded to resolve it and we received support from (OmanTel), and I present a special word of thank to the company for its support to overcome technical issues with the application.
The Director General of Educational Evaluation Directory, MOE said: as a spokesperson of MOE, I would like to confirm and assure candidates, parents, and guardians that our office is working in a sound performance and the application is very accurate, and there are no reasons for rising concerns or worrying about students results as the issues dealt with was about time used for correction and not related to accuracy by no means.
Dr. Zwaina Al-Maskryh concluded her announcement and said: we call upon everyone to observe honesty and ethics in terms of providing or transferring information and avoid false and unfounded information.
