Individual skills department, in cooperation with the Department of vocational guidance, organized an educational meeting targeted vocational guidance specialists at the governorate schools and a number of individual skills supervisors in the field of musical skills, sports and fine arts.
Dr. Khalid bin Rashid Al Balochi, head of individual skills department in North Batinah talked about the importance of individual skills and vocational guidance specialist in schools to guide students in selecting materials based on their attitudes and tendencies.
Then a group of excellent students had the opportunity to present their experience with talent and the role of vocational guidance specialist to guide and direct them. The student Hatim bin Sultan Al Rochdi presented his talent in a sport skill. Then Fatima Al Shiblyah and Tahani Al Hamdania presented in the field of arts and the role of vocational guidance specialist to guide them towards the appropriate subjects.
The meeting also included a set of working papers in individual skills. First paper was done by Amani Al Rifai, musical skills supervisor titled "Best professional guidance for a brighter tomorrow in musical skills subject". She talked about the importance of the subject and its teaching development in the Sultanate. Then Majid Al Ma'amari, supervisor of Fine Arts presented a working paper entitled “The arts in grades 11 and 12”. He addressed the concept of visual arts through a series of paintings. The third paper was presented by Ali Al Moqbali and Safa Al Amri. They talked about general and specific objectives of school sports, the content, requirements and evaluation of the curriculum of grades11 and 12.
