The Southern Batinah Directorate represented by Human Resource Development Directorate, English Language Department organized an annual meeting for senior teachers of English in the directorate’s theatre. The meeting was covered in three sessions. The first session was led by Nasseb bin Abdullah Al Omrani, Acting Senior Supervisor for English language subject in the governorate. He addressed the difficulties and challenges that face the educational supervisor and senior teachers and how to overcome them through determining development priorities, procedures and follow-up responsibility in order to develop level of performance at work. Also, he mentioned the importance of activating technology in teaching English language through using smart boards to create an interactive environment to attract students. The second session was presented by Mohammed bin Said Al Kindi from E-content section in Information Technology Directorate. He talked about effective role of using E- content initiative in teaching class activities of grade four in enhancing the curriculum with adaptable methods in order to achieve self-learning such as providing application for activities in smart phones so that students can solve activities any time. Zahran bin Mohammed Al Subhi, Educational Supervisor, talked in the third session about International Award for schools participating in “Merged Classes Project” which aimed to link cultures and other countries activities in all areas where he explained the earlier mentioned aims, rules and working procedures to achieve progressive results at the international level in education and learning.
