MOE held a press conference for Gulf school Championship basketball
Yesterday, the organizing committee for Gulf School Championship basketball held a press conference for this championship to be hosted by the Sultanate represented by MOE during the period 6-13 from the next month at Sultan Qaboos Sport Complex.
The conference held at MOE cabinet’s Hall in presence of Dr. Mohammed bin Khalfan Al-Shidi, General Director of General Directorate for Educational Programs and Chief of organizing committee of championship; Dr. Nasser bin Saleh al-Kindi, General Directorate assistant for educational activities and Championship Director ; Dr. Sohail bin Salem Al-Shanfari, Director of educational media department and Chief of media committee for Championship; Asia bent Hamdan Al-Siabiah , Manager of Co-curricular Activities Department and member of organizing committee; Ahmed bin Darwish Al-Balushi, sport activities specialist and assistant championship director; number of the committee’s members, subcommittee for championship, and representative of local media.
The championship witness the participation of eight countries: Sultanate of Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arabia Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, and Yemen where the number of the participants’ teams for male reached to 8 teams while the numbers of the participants teams for female reached to 6 teams. The Male Championship groundbreaking events will be at the main gymnasium where the female contests events are held at the sub- gymnasium hall at Sultan Qaboos Sport Complex.
