Educational Development Journal celebrate a decade of issuance

Under the auspices of HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Tobi, adviser to the Ministry of Education, the celebration of Educational Development Journal on the occasion of a decade of issuance was held at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah resort.

The celebration was attended by Sameera bent Mohammed Al Amri, an adviser to HE the Minister of the educational calendar, Chairperson of the Publication and Documentation Committee in the ministry, supervisor of the journal, directors, teachers, collaborators,  editorial board, and a group of journalists from various media institutions.

Journal first publication was published during celebrations of National Day on February 18th 2001. It publishes 7publications each year, from September to April, and currently distributing 15,000 copies to teachers.  The beginning was a form of publication which was not more than 16 pages. They contain sections that enrich the knowledge of teachers, they read about international experiences, write about their experiences in the classroom, and they answer a lot of questions about the development of educational strategies and tools. In the subsequent period the number of pages and sections has been increased, to cover the need of knowledge, conceptual needs and multi efficiencies of teachers. They added a separate annex to it, specialized in innovative teaching strategies in different subjects, each subject separately. They increased the number to 70 pages, with annex containing 16 pages about school curriculum. All the publications are on the ministry’s website.
