An Introductory Meeting about Training Students on Craft Industries in the Southern Batinah

The introductory meeting about training students on craft industries and folk arts held on Wednesday morning in theatre of  Directorate of North Batinah  under the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Salem bin Saif Alabdulsalam, Walli of Al Awabi and in the presence of Nasser bin Abdullah Alabri, General Director of Directorate of Batina North and number of Departments’ directors, their deputy, heads of parents councils , number of supervisors, specialists of educational activities ,fine Arts teachers and students.

The meeting included plenty of worksheets and presentation about craft industries in the Sultanate. Mubarak bin Said Al Mashari, Deputy Director of Educational Programs Department for Educational Activities and Students Care in General Directorate of Education in Muscat, presented worksheet about training students to craft industries team. He mentioned the importance of craft industries .

Also, Dr Khalid bin Rasheed Al Balushi, Deputy Director of Educational Programs Department for Educational Activities and Students Care in General Directorate of Education in North Batinah, presented  a worksheet about craft industries in educational Institutions. Mohsin bin Ali Alowfi, Director of Craftsman Training and Rehabilitation in Public Authority for Craft Industries presented a worksheet that showed the role of the authority in supporting and developing the craft industries in the Sultanate. In conclusion, Mahmood bin Abdullah Al Abri from Oman National Committee for Education, Culture and Arts, talked about international concerns on cultural heritage as part of human global culture. At the end they open time for discussion and questions.
