Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Salim bin Ufait Alshanfri, Head of Dhofar Municipality, and in presence of Hamad bin Khalfan Alrashdi, General Director of Dhofar Directorate, The Scout Commission of Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate organized a celebration of the international volunteer day with participation of some government and private authorities, associations and civil volunteer groups.

The celebration started with march that encourages volunteer work leaded by the patron from front of Military Hospital headquarter ended in Theatre of Applied Science Collage.

Abdullah bin Shaban from Alnasr club scout reading the hole Quran then Mohammed bin Fail Raidan , Executive Commissioner for Scouts and Guides, delivered a speech about voluntary work and its important.

Then Abdullah bin Ali Alhashri gave a speech of associations and civil groups, where he encourages all groups of society to participate in voluntary work. They presented documentary film entitled “volunteer is our goal”.

The celebration ended by honoring collaborating authorities, sponsor companies, scout leaders and guidance. The ceremony was attended by HE Salim bin Said Alhurizi, Member of Shura Council represented of Maziona, Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Almushiki, General Director of General Directorate of Health Services and Dr Alawi bin Salim Alhafeed, General Director of General Directorate of Fisheries.
