The Central Committee of linguistic performance development held a meeting in Training and Career Development Center in Educational Directorate of Al-Buraymi headed by Dr Masooma bint Habib Alajmi, Minister’s Counselor for Linguistic Performance Development, Sabet bin Said Alghilani, Educational Expert in Directorate General of Human Resources Development, Maryam bint Hassan Albulushi, Arabic Language Supervisor, Abdullah bin Ahmed Aldahri, General Director Assistant of Alburimi Directorate and members of local committee of linguistic performance Development.

During the meeting, they reviewed the working plan of the central and local committees mentioned in Ministerial decision no 789/2013 to reshape linguistic performance development committees of Arabic Language for first and second cycle, prepare for generalization process of Read and Think Programs for grades three and four of first cycle and grade five of second cycle, generalization requirements to get benefit from the program in order to overcome reading and writing weakness of grades three, four and five and study strategy after HE approval. Also, they set working time plan, activate the educational portal, educational forum and take advantage of private sector to activate strategy required to spread reading culture in Omani society.

Also, they reviewed the committee’s work during this year through activities, programs and competitions implementation. Amer Aleisaei and Khamis Alhani presented How to Write Project which aimed to enrich writing skills of targeted members through number of creative activities. They discussed the mechanism of world day celebration of Arabic Language in 18/12 every year which include honoring the best teachers, supervisors and students , who merit in applying the program.
