The Academic Performance Committee held its first meeting for the year 2012/2013 in General Directorate of Education at North Al-Batinah Governorate. The meeting was headed by Hamad bin Ali Al-Sarhani, General Director of Education in North Al-Batinah.

The meeting addressed several educational subjects which belong to Academic Performance and its advancement. The General Director welcomed the attendance and thanked them for their effort during the last year. Also, he asked them to do more to serve the march of educational process in the Governorate and praised the different educational projects that applied in the Governorate’s schools which aimed to raise the student’s performance level. 

In the conference, several points were discussed and display what has been accomplished in the last year, evaluation documents, adjustment made by, and the results of visits and following the committee’s member for schools.

 The meeting came out with a number of recommendations and the most important were the meeting of committee’s member in the beginning of second semester to discuss what has been accomplished, display the student’s results on the level of the Governorate, and display a worksheet for the committee of developing the linguistic performance in the governorate about: developing the performance project and the Governorate’s vision in the benefit from this side to raise the academic performance.

As well, an academic performance committee was formed and adds cadres from the Directorate. Also, following the supervisors (educational, administers) to curriculum plans especially the period that the teacher stops working, activate the role of project Speaking in Standard Arabic, how to follow it, and training matters.

Moreover, the meeting comes out with directing the training program with supervisors and teachers towards Deeping the culture of academic performance subject, formed two committees from all departments in following the academic performance, and find a method in the follow-up, handling, and suggestions for development. Also, activate the students’ activities in instilling the culture of academic performance among students and find a method to pursuance it.

Also, formed a committee to follow up the exams work in terms of objectivity in correct, monitors, prepare a mainstream for schools to abide the plan time in implement the curriculum and follow up the amounts for lessons replay. In addition, raise the claim amount from (3) Rial to (5) Rial and prepare a letter to the Ministry. Finally, follow up the evaluation documents work, their amendments especially in Science documents (Basic fifth grade).
