Workshop for e-learning project and expansion of digital schools
The Ministry of Education represented by Content and e-learning Department held the second workshop for e-learning project and expansion of digital schools through the period from 24 to 26 of November.
The workshop is a continuum to the first workshop which was aimed at identifying the key factors for the project. This workshop comes to prepare a compiling action plan for digital schools project.
The workshop aimed at representatives of executive teams at the Ministry’s cabinets and General Directorate of Education in the Governorates and with participates of a members from teachers and school administration, in addition; representative from educational supervisors, training specialist, and curriculum experts.
This team entrusted in engineering a procedural action plan that will be the light of the introduction of this project in the Governorates, and to be adopted by the Ministry of Education to build model schools for e-learning in order to keep up with the global trend towards embracing technology as one of the most important institutions of society which play a pivotal role in socialization and economic development of individuals.
Schools are believed to be the basic pillar in the preparation of the citizen to play a positive and effective in public life, hence this role has been always a present element that tops the philosophical frameworks of educational system in the world and with the rapid change in lifestyle, particularly the relentless change in the global economy and the changing work patterns; many educational systems pay particular attention to the recruitment of teaching techniques and various communication in education. Also, all components of the school including curriculum, activities, evaluation patterns, programs for preparing and training teachers should be organized in a format to provide an integrated learning environment that enhances the skills necessary for the learner.
