Yesterday, Moza bent Abdullah Al-Kamisanih, Biology supervisor and Globe Program Coordinator at the General Directorate of Education in Al-Buraymi Governorate; presented a paper to define Globe program to supervisors of applied science section, schools principles implementing Globe program which is Hafsa School for basic education (5-10) and Al-farouq for basic education (9-10). The event was held at the training and vocational development center at the directorate.

It is worth to mention, the Globe program is an educational international program that concentrates on science and environment where linked between school students in all education level, teachers and science research in a hard attempts to learn more about our local and global environment.

Also, the program applied in order to study some issues related to the global environment. The program brings together 111 participants from different countries; and presents several activities such as preparing a list of environmental data to share with the participants’ countries, prepare a local and global research, implement conferences and training workshops, and establishing competitions and online dialogues.

The program aims to improve the environment awareness level among students, understanding the facts and data relating to earth science in a scientific manner, recruitment the internet in science research and to communicate with others. Also, enhance teamwork spirit in addition to improving academic performance level for students in science, social studies and mathematical. The Globe program included several research fields notably air, water, soil, and land cover.
