Alia bint Saeed Al-Kaabi , a student from Al Buraymi Private School in General Directorate of Education in Al-Buraymi achieved second place in the International Study (Pirls). Omima bint Basher Al Zaidi from Amyna bint Jabir bin Zaid (11-12) came at the 8^th place in TIMSS-2011 competition in science.

This study focuses on fourth and eighth grade students in order to evaluate levels of performance and to gather data about participating countries in this study to enable comparison, evaluation of efficiency on science and Mathematics. Also, it aims to develop teaching skills of mathematics and science and provide reference data which helps to improve the quality of teaching and learning of mathematics and science .Finally, to train national cadres in conducting standard testes and collecting special data of educational process. 

The study tools were developed by education experts from the participating country. The study provides comprehensive information about educational process stages, therefore; the tools cover levels of performance and classrooms, environment, family and school changes.
