Schools Catering and Student Performance Conference in Northern Batinah
Recently, The Northern Batinah governorate held a conference at Crown Blaza Hotel in Sohar on schools feeding and student nutrition .The Nutrition conference held under patronage of HE Mohamed ben Hamdan At-Tubi and attended by Mohamed Khalfan Al-Harthy the undersecretary of Teaching and Curriculum and Hamed bin Ali Al-Sarhani the regions superintendent.
The conference aims to define reality and expectations of school nutrition and to diagnose the difficulties and challenges and purpose the practical solutions for it. Three working papers were delivered in the conference by Ahmed Al-Blushi, head of hygiene awareness section in MOE and by Fathia bent Abdullah Al-Rashdiah, a nutrition specialist from the Ministry of Health and by Hamed bin Ali Al-Sarhani. The first paper talked about hygiene and food safety and enlighten the audience about the ministry efforts in this matter .The second paper discussed the good nutrition and healthy food. The third paper was about school nutrition associations structuring and its management system.
