MOE presented by Oman Educational Portal honored the winner students in educational portal star competition 2012. The competition came to manifest the portal’s Management believe in the significant role played by the educational activities and as an equivalent with curricular.
 The results of competition came as follows:  the first place for Fanar bent Zahran bin Salim al-Mahroqiah, the second place for Fatimah bent Hamoud bin Mohammed al-Hinaiah, and the third place for Azizah bent Abdullah bin khalfan al-Hinaiah.
The Ministry held an honoring ceremony in ministry cabinet in presence of the students' parents, the employees of the Educational Portal Department and Directorate General of IT.
Mr. Suleiman bin Saif al-Kindi, the General Director of IT, delivered a speech and congratulated the winner students and give advice to them to continue to develop their talents and skills. He gave out the awards which included shields, certificates, and laptops.
It is worth’s mentioning that the educational portal star competition passed in three stages: the first stage was the announcement of the competition and receiving the participated work .The second stage was sorting the received texts and evaluation. The final stage was voting by readers on the ministry official website to choose the wining work.
