Shebaniah issued a ministerial decree to form a committee to study students’ transfer system and school rental transportation

H.E Dr. Madiha bent Ahmed Shebaniah Minister of Education issued a ministerial decree to form a committee to study the students’ transfer system and school rental transportation. The head will be Humaid bin Mohammed Al Hajri Adviser Secretary. 

The Committee shall develop a vision for application of terms of the students’ transfer system and rental transportation by the Ministerial Decree No. (323/2008).
Also they are going to study the overcrowding in the school buses and make proposals to solve this problem. They will study the conditions of school buses sections and their operational efficiency.  
 Humaid bin Mohammed Al Hajri adviser Minister stated that the issuance of ministerial decree came due to the existence of difficulties and challenges in transporting school students in governorates and regions of the Sultanate. Some of the difficulties are the congestion in some school buses because of the low wages of buses in the previous years for example.
  He said:  “The difficulties and challenges that are on school buses in its current state will be dealt with by making an urgent report in the coming days to Her Excellency”. And he added that the ministry is considering the option of leasing new buses with accordance with standards of safety for our students.
