Ministry of Education concludes developing strategic thinking skills program to departments’ seniors

Ministry of Education recently concluded a training program in development of strategic thinking skills for supreme departments. It was organized by the Directorate-General for Human Resources Development from 24 to 26/10 at Ambassador Hall in Al Khuwair. It targeted consultants, general directors and their deputies in the Ministry and districts. 

The program aimed to familiarize them with the mechanisms that help organizations managements to develop the strategic thinking skills and how to apply it within the organization. It also aimed to identify the prevailing theory in strategic thinking t.
The program addressed three basic themes, first general perception of the strategic thinking. It discussed the future thinking in general. Then it discussed the difference between strategic thinking and operational thinking and the difference between thinking and strategic planning.The second axis discussed future thinking steps and the role of vision in that. The third axis talked about looking ahead, put the concept of foresight, its objectives, functions and the most important stages. It was divided into three stages, scenario-building, preparing visions, and strategic planning.

“Six bridges”
 The Directorate-General for Human Resources Development organized a cultural evening scene at the Ministry theatre in Wattayah entitled (six bridges  for self-development: at work and in life).   It  discussed  six main themes : I am first and then others, change your thinking before you modify the behavior, diversify the sources of self strength, and freedom of decision coincided with responsibility of application,  the balance between self belonging and vulnerability to the group, and master the art of enjoying  job and life.
