General Diploma examinations have started yesterday at the Sultanate SchoolsGeneral diploma certificate examinations of the second semester for the current year 2011/2012 have started on Saturday morning. The number of applicants for the examinations are (67278) male and female students from all governorates.

Students are distributed in the Sultanate governorates as follows: Muscat governorate (12229) students, North Batinah governorate (15903) students, South Batinah governorate (8972) students, Dhakhilya governorate (8308) students, South Sharqiya governorate (5102) students, North Sharqiya governorate (4292) students, Al Dhahira governorate (4229) students, Dhofar governorate (5461) students, Al Wusta governorate (630) students, Musandam governorate (552) students and Buraimi governorate (1600 students.
