Under the program of exchange visits between teachers from the Middle East and teachers from United Kingdom, Ministry of Education, represented by the International Educational Programs Office organized a trip for British educators to a number of schools in the Sultanate in cooperation with the British Council.
The delegation includes Mary Claire Davis, a teacher and Head of Department of Geography, International Coordinator of the program citizenship at Mlbrai Girls School, Phiroza Shaheen Chowdhury an assistant in the project and Hamid Amillal teacher and presedent o of Mathematics Department at Stabiny Green School.
The program includes visits to six schools which they are applying connected classrooms project in North Sharqiya Directorate, North Batinah Directorate and Muscat Directorate. In addition, they visited many monuments, tourist and cultural sites in the Sultanate. The delegation visited yesterday Seih Al Aafyaa Basic Education School in North Sharqiya Directorate and they spent a night in a tourist camp. The delegation also have visited since Saturday Badr Al Kobra School and Al Ibdaa School in North Batinah Directorate.
Connecting Classrooms Project is a educational project supported and funded by the British Council which aims to promote dialogue between cultures through a partnership between a group of schools in the Middle East and schools in the United Kingdom.
