Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bent Ahmed Shibaniya Minister of Education, president of the Oman National Commission for Education, Culture and Science left yesterday evening headed to the French capital Paris to participate in the thirty-sixth session of the General Conference of UNESCO, which is held every two years during the period from October 25 to November 10 2011.
Representing the Sultanate in the UNESCO, Madiha is going to give a speech which includes topics about world peace, intercultural dialogue and sustainable development.
The agenda of the session includes a range of topics. Some are related to the plenary session which is about formation of a committee on Credentials’, Committee’s report to the General Conference, the adoption of the agenda, election of the President of General Conference and Vice-President and the heads of the committees, the organization of the session and other topics.
