Saud al-Baluchi meets representative UNICEF in Muscat
Yesterday morning H.E. Saud bin Salim Balochi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Educational Planning and Human Resource Development and Acting met Dr. Laila Gad representative UNICEF in Muscat. They discussed the next steps to implement the development education, vocational training and labor market observatory project, which is part of partnership between Ministry of Education and UNICEF.
The project aims to link the outputs of education in the Sultanate to the labor market, and strengthen the correlation between education and training and the labor market in the transition period from school to the labor market. This period approximately occur between the ages of (15-24) years. The young - based on the level of education and training they have received – develop the skills that help them to become productive members of society.
The meeting was attended by Shinona bent Salim Al Habsiya, an educational expert in the Office of the Undersecretary of Education and Curriculum and the representative of the Ministry in UNICEF.
