Under the auspices of Hamad bin Ali bin Hamad AL-Sarhani, Director General of the Directorate General for Education, and in presence of Sheikh Hamoud bin Hamad AL-Wahshi, Wali in Shinas ; The Parents Bureau in Willayt Shinas organized a seminar about the teacher's role in the upbringing of children . The seminar had a big turnout of more than 200 pedagogy community in town.

The seminar included six main axis presented by Sheikh Atiq bin Rashid Al Falasi’’ of AL-Buraimi University’’ in the first axis he talked about teaching profession in Islam and its importance to students behavioral, scientific, literature revenues, pointing out the teacher role , reflected in upgrading education and teaching in a world witnessing continuous development in various fields of science. The second axis was about the role of the teacher in discovering the student's talents, guidance and evaluation of student’s achieved activities, etc.

The third axis was about positions and titles given to teachers along the Islam history, taking Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the first teacher of humanity and his methods in teaching Islam and Islamic principles as a model. The forth axis was about the role of a teacher as a raw model for his students to look up to , and guide students to a set of sound conduct criteria compatible with the curriculum, which will promote student's behavior and educational level.. The fifth axis focused on teacher’s role limitations in attributing his concern on all walk of life aspects of his students starting from home, school days and out in community daily interactions.

The last axis was about teacher’s psychological characteristics and the effects of those characteristics in the educational process, citing examples from the Biography of the Prophet (Peace be upon him).
This seminar ended with a follow up open talk aimed to emphasize the topic s discussed in the lecture. At the end the Bureau representative presented a gift to the guest of honor.
