HE.DR.Madiha Al Shibaaniyah, the Minster of Education presided over the introductory forum of Omani Center for schools evaluation in the MoE Cabinet with presence of a number of Advisors and Directors Generals. The event began with recitation of Holy Quran. Then, Nabeela Al Jardaani, Education Supervisor at the Minister#s Office delivered the speech of Omani center for schools evaluation where she pointed out that since the blessing renaissance led by the His Majesty the Sultan Qaboos , great attention paid to the educational sector and since the Sultanate adopted Oman#s future vision of economy in 1995, the Sultanate tended to depend on policies of economy that based on knowledge. She also added that the Omani center aimed to promote the education process and develop the quality level of education outputs. In addition, Dr.Ali Al Alawi, an education Expert at the Minister#s Office presented a presentation of introducing the project and its stages. He also clarified the philosophy of center which would help to find self-development schools with high level. Al alawi added that the center aimed to conduct schools with a high performance, ensure the quality of schools performance through accurate external evaluation process and provide schools with objective feedback. At the end, DR.Ahmed Al Hinai, the Advisor of Minister for International Education Relationship and Responsible of Omani Center Management said that the project recommended by the Education Council focusing on evaluation processes of schools. He also added that the first stage of project finished and focusing now on training and qualifying teachers. He hoped that evaluation process of the center will kick off at the beginning of next academic year.
