The Directorate General of Education in Dhofar, represented by the Special Education Section organized the opening day for students with Down syndrome and Intellectual Disability along with the world day of Down syndrome, which mark on the March 21 every year. The event, took place in Al Saada Sport Complex in Salalah. In addition, the opening day included various participations in sport competition, cultural games, photography, health, drawing on faces and family guiding. Moreover, football match organized between Dhofar team and intellectual disability students that was exciting and showed sporting skills of participants. It is also to be noted that many students of Down syndrome and intellectual disability, parents and private and government entities involved in the events.
