Under the patronage of H.E.Shaikh, Mohammed Al Mamri, the State Advisor, the Directorate General of Education at Muscat, represented by the Special Education Section at Education Programs Department organized Muscat forum for special education titled "a Vision and Ambition". Also, the event presented by a number of Their Excellencies, the Muscat Government Wallies, Dr.Ali Humaid Al Jahwari, the Director of Directorate General of Education and others. The ceremony began with a speech delivered by Dr.Khadija Al Blushi, the Assistant Director General for Education Evaluation and Programs and Private Schools where she welcomed the main guest and attendances. She clarified that five years plans of qualifying learners aimed to develop various programs for qualifying special needs students, provide them with appropriate skills to integrate them in the society normally. She added that the forum considered as appreciation for special abilities categories who proved their success through their performance in order to provide outstanding education outcomes capable of facing changes. Moreover, Dr.Khadija said that the forum established to clarify special education concept and show important services provided to mental health integrated students and learning difficulties students.                

In addition, the patron of occasion launched the logo of special education section at the Directorate. Then, the students of Al Baraa Basic Education School and Al Hadarah Basic Education Schools presented a welcoming song and a speech titled" In spired Students from Oman" delivered by Student of disabilities, Ab Rahmaan Al Raqaadi who talked about his diverse achievements in different sport championships in a number of countries. After that, the main guest honored various entities such as sponsoring institutions, schools heads, social specialists, special education teachers, organization committee of forum and participating students. Also, the forum included a number of work papers that discussed various issues .Dr.Khawla Al Mamri, presented a work paper titled "Methods of How to Deal with Reading Difficulties Students at Cycle One School" where she discussed effective methods that use with learning difficulties children and field studies. Also, Dr.Mowafaq Mohammed , Special Education Expert presented another work paper who talked about modern methods teaching for disabilities students.
