Ka’ab bin Malik Basic Education School for boys in North Batinah Launches Smart Bus Management Room
HE Sheikh Mohna bin Saif Al Lamki, Governor of North Batinah, lunched the Smart Bus Management Room Project, with presence of Sheikh Khalifa Alalwi, Wali Shanas, Mohammed Al Saidi , Assistant Director General of North Batinah Directorate, Khalifa Al Marobi, Lt.colonel from Royal Oman Police and number of educators and teachers.
Abdul Rahman Al Awadhi, the school
principal, said that the school#s smart bus management
project aims to ensure the safety of students and peace of mind for parents. He
mentioned that they made a room for managing and following -up the buses, which
equipped with modern technology and Internet.
Al-Awadhi also discussed the purpose of the Smart Room is to follow the progress of the school bus from the starting point through the student gathering points until it reaches the school and follow the way back on the same path, using Google maps, school bus tracking devices and GPS.
The ceremony included a training
program presented by a representative from Vocational College in Shinas and followed
by a student debate on an issue of traffic society attended by HE the Governor
of North Batinah and the attendees.
HE Sheikh Mohanna bin Saif Al Lamki, Governor of North Batinah praised the efforts of the school and wished success. At the end, HE honored the organizers and participants.
