The Directorate General of Education at Al Sharqiyah South Governorate organized an educational meeting with media coordinators of the schools in the governorate and in Al Reem Hal in the Welayet of Al Kamil Wal Wafi. In addition, the meeting aimed to show the importance of human cadres, train them in the media field, to identify the education media updates in relation of Sultan Qaboos Prize for Sustainable development and education interactive network and provide the media coordinators with the skills of social media network management. Moreover, Hamed Al Alawi, the Administration Researchers at the Public Relations and Education Media ran the meeting that witnessed three work papers. First work papers focused on the Sultan Qaboos Prize for Sustainable Development, presented by Juma Al Mashaikhy,the Section Head of Education Activities and the Prize Coordinator. He talked about various issues such as the definition of the prize, its objectives, the prize axes, local committees, school committees, media plans, registration mechanism and the role of media coordinators in supporting their school projects. The second work paper presented by Hussain Al Darwashi, the Following and Studies Member at the Section of Education Media and Public Relations and he discussed the importance of plans of managing the social media accounts by organizing the content to be more active and empty of bad comments. Also,Salam Al Sharji, the Section Head of Electronic Publish and Design who presented the new education interactive network which the Department of Education Media intends to launch it soon in order to develop the educational media department and to be the alternative of education forum. He also introduce the media coordinators with network components, its pop up widows, registration mechanism and downloading pictures and video attachments. At the end of the meeting, the registration windows opened for schools to mark the start of the experimental work in the network and to view the observations of the attendees to modify them before launch.
