The National Youth Commission and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate General of Education for Education Programs at Activities Department, School Media and Literature Section started the second stage of playoffs for reading national competition. It was from various educational governorates and private schools at the Sultanates# level for the academic year 2018/2019.Also; seventy-two participants distributing in twenty-four teams and divided to six groups took in the contest. It lasted for ten days and targeted tenth to twelfth class students in Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. Moreover, the reading contest is a competition, which the school#s students participated from education governorates at (10-12) class, compete by reading a folder from Omani encyclopedia.it also held in two stages, the first stage represent the competition between the governorate schools. The qualified schools at the second stage several schools from various governorates compete at the Sultanate level in Muscat Book Fair during the period from 22 February to 3 March 2019. In addition, the competition aimed to spread the reading culture among youth, raise knowledge competition, enhance the citizenship values and belonging to their home country and achieve the partnership between the National Youth Commission and Ministry of Education in developing the abilities and talents of Omani youth.
