The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate General of Education programs, Education Activities Department organized the competition of standard Arabic and Rhetoric in Ministry of Education Auditorium for two days. The Ministry of Education established the competition annually at the level of Sultanate and Arab countries level. In addition, the competition aimed to connect the students with the vocabularies of their beautiful language, apply the language in daily life, promote the level of speaking standard Arabic, develop the students# dialogue and expressing abilities, connect the curriculum with activity and build a personality that capable of persuading and explaining. Moreover, the competition divided in two parts, the first part is for the twelve basic education and general education students, boys/girls and the second part is for the tenth class. The fourteen students who qualify at the Ministry level will perform writing test at grammatical and morphological studies and oral test in speaking standard Arabic and grammatical rules as well as general cultural topics. Then, the participants delivered speeches that focus on the various human, national and environmental issues. At the end of competition, the participants placed in a variety of situations to test their stability and their ability to confront others, convince them of their ideas, and influence them in their style.
