Al Dhakhliyah Directorate General of Education, represented by Education Media and Public Relations Section held an educational meeting with media coordinators at the Directorate#s departments, private and governorate schools of the governorate. The first educational meeting took place in the Education Training Center in Samail that targeted the schools of Samail and Bidbid and the second meeting targeted at the Directorate#s Hall in Nizwa, which targeted the rest of schools and Directorate#s departments. The meeting also aimed to introduce new interactive education networks that educational media department intended to launch soon as a part to develop the educational media work. During the meeting, the attendees discussed the components of educational networks, the registration mechanism, how to enroll their works by text or diverse attachment files such as photos, video, audio files and links. Also,the participants introduced to the characteristics of networks and how the interaction between schools and participants. In addition, Ahmed Al Kindi, the Section Head of Education Media and Public Relations pointed out that the meeting aimed to introduce the coordinators with new interactive education networks that the Department of Education Media intended to launch during the next period and to be the alternative of Education Forum. Moreover, Salaam Al Sharji, the Section Head of Electronic Publishing clarified that the constant development of communication means led to launch new platform, interactive education network that combines a number of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, which help the media coordinators to play their roles easily. He also added that the education forum was an interactive platform since 2002 and played important role in introducing local society in the Sultanate and diverse activities at schools and due to the availability of easier and faster alternatives, there was a need to launch the interactive educational network and change the forum into an educational archive. At the end of the meeting, the registration process for the schools opened, marking the start of the experimental work in the network and the observation of the attendees in order to amending before the official launch of the network.
