Under the patronage of HE. Shaikh Mohammed Al Tobi, the Advisor to the Ministry of Education, the MoE held a dialogue session of reading a book to discuss two books yesterday.These books were Omani Success stories and Omani Characters Immortalized by History. Also, a number of participants who wrote these books, literature composing authors and others presented the session in Muscat Hall in The Ministry#s Cabinet. Moreover, the dialogue session started with a film of the books content where was the first book targeted the ninth class students and talked about seven real stories of contemporary Omani who were able to overcome life difficulties and achieve their ambitions in various fields such as sport, art, design, religious education and innovation. In addition, the book of Omani Characters Immortalized by History targeted the seventh class students of cycle two that told stories of nine historical characters who had civilization achievements in Oman and abroad in literature, science, medicine and Islamic Conquests. Moreover, Dr.Ayshah Al Ghabshiyah, the chairperson of HM Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Art and Literature managed the session. The authors of the books; Dr.Jokha Al Harthiyah, the Assistant Teacher in SQU,Dr.Khalid Al Siyabi, the Member of Committee on Governance and Institutional Performance in Oman Vision 2040 and he was the first Omni Climber on Everest Mountain. Also, there were Dr.Mosa Al Barashdi, the Director of Curriculum Evaluation Department in the Ministry and Azhaar Al Hathiyah, an Omani Author. During the session, the attendance discussed various axes such as the importance of enhancing citizenship values among students, building their characters; enhancing the Omani Identity and adding some excitement and suspense elements into the stories. At the end of dialogue session, the patron of event honored the participants in the session. It is worth mention that this session is the fifth of series of dialogue sessions, which implemented by the department of citizenship in Ministry that aim to raise up the communication level, promote the job performance, and spread the general awareness of the importance of reading at people#s life among the Ministry#s stuff.
