Abdullah Al Naimi,the Assistant Head of Al Buraimi Directorate chaired the first meeting of the team of technology and science national week with the presence of the team members to discuss the preparation of the event which would be held next March. The meeting began with clarifications of the team and its tasks and preparation of a preliminary plan. Also, during the meeting, the members of team distributed at the governorate schools for following up and create general image of activities at the event by conducting scientific workshops for two days at Innovation Center in Al Buraimi Directorate, scientific exhibition ans scientific competitions. In addition, the national week for technology and science aimed to raise up the awareness of science and technology, enhance the students# attitudes toward science, keep up with global trends that based on technology and science dissemination. In addition, it simplifies science concepts, spread the scientific culture among individuals in society, to link learning with entertainment and create positive attitudes in order to keep up with future changes and developments. It is worth mentioning that before this meeting, there was an expended ministerial meeting preceded where it issued that national week for technology and science to be held every year
