The Directorate General of Educational Evaluation at the Ministry of Education completed its preparations for the general education diploma examination for the academic year 2018/2019, which will start next Tuesday 8/1/2019 in the Sultanate#s governorates. Moreover, Dr.Zuwaina Al Maskari, the Director General of Education Evaluation Directorate and General Supervisor for the Diploma Examinations pointed out that the Directorate prepared for the diploma exams for the first semester, first round of the academic year 2018/2019 and she also said that 48570 will take the exams, including 41767 students from general education diploma,5173 students from continuous education,1193 students from bilingual private schools,198 students from Islamic institutions,37 students from Omani Technical Royal College,62 students from Omar bi Al Khataab Institution,62 students from special education and 127 students of International Program. Also, the students will perform the exams in a number of examination centers distributing in different education governorates such as 48 centers in Muscat, 43 centers in Al Batinah North governorate,36 centers in Al Batinah South,46 centers in Al Dhakhiliyah,24 centers in Al Sharqiyah South,31 centers in Al Sharqiyah North,22 centers in Al Dhahirah,50 centers in Dhofar,18 centers in Al Wusta,7 centers in Musandam and 11 examination centers in Al Buraimi. In addition, Dr Zuwaina Al Maskari, added that various technical teams held decentralized training programs for the heads of educational exams centers by presenting various work papers of how to manage the work in the examination centers including the responsibilities and duties of the examination center#s heads according to the management regulations of the General Education Diploma examinations issued by Ministerial Decision No. 588/2015. Also,Dr. Zuaina Bint Saleh Al-Muskariyah, said that the papers of the general education diploma examinations will be corrected in four morning and evening shifts in four educational directorates, Muscat , Al Batinah North and Al Batinah South and Al Dhakhliyah . These centers provided with logistics work to receive the correctors on the day after the start of examinations according to the approved correction plan.
