Buraimi receives Wechsler Intelligence Committee
Buraimi governorate received yesterday morning Shinonah bent Salim ben Mohammed Al Habsiyah, an educational expert in undersecretary of education and curriculum office and representative of UNISEF and member of the team supervising implementation Wechsler in Al Buraimi Governorate.
Experimental implementation includes Al Majd Basic Education School (1-4), Al Khwarizmi Basic Education School (5-10), Amna bent Jaber ben Zaid School (11-12), Maymona bent Al Harith Basic Education School (5-10) and Azan ben Qeis School (11-12).
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), developed by Dr. David Wechsler, is an individually administered intelligence test for children between the ages of 6 and 16 inclusive that can be completed without reading or writing. The WISC takes 65-80 minutes to administer and generates an IQ score which represents a child’s general cognitive ability.
