MoE launches the experimental phase of the CAT4 test in Arabic in Private Schools

Ministry of Education represented by Directorate General of Private Schools launched the first experimental phase of the CAT4 test in Arabic. The ceremony attended by Fatma Norani, Director General of Private Schools in the Ministry, Wadeea Frayha, Regional Director of Al Sayegh Education Foundation, Grace Youssef, Educational Advisor, James Hallig from the GL Institute for Testing and Education in UK and number of private schools principals. Siham Al Riyami, Director of Private Schools Programs and Curricula, mentioned that Oman is the first Arab country to apply these tests in the first version in Arabic. CAT4 Tests to measure cognitive skills and emotional intelligence that are not related to a particular curriculum or content or subject therefore, it is a test of general abilities (21st century skills) for students.
