The main committee of Oman Science Festival held a meeting to discuss the preparation of the National Week of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics chaired by HE Saud Bin Salem Al Baloushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Educational Planning and Human Resources Development. In the presence of Dr. Zwaina Bint Saleh Al Maskari, Vice Chairman of the Committee, and directors of the general directorates of education in the governorates, in Nizwa Hall at the Ministry. At the beginning of the meeting, HE Saud bin Salem Al Balushi gave a speech welcoming the attendees and referred to Her Excellency the Minister directives about holding festival every two years, preceded by holding the National Week of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in the directorates of education in the governorates. Dr. Mia Bint Saeed Al Azriyya, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Oman Science Festival, presented a visual presentation on the "National Week of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics" in which she spoke about its name and objectives. The presentation showed that the week will be from Sunday to Thursday (10-14 March 2019) in all Directorates of Education in the governorates for five days, implemented in public parks, commercial, and sports complexes, public and private universities, schools and colleges during morning and evening.
