The training program of Math series for fifth and sixth classes, which will apply at the beginning of the current academic year, continues in Directorate General of Education at Al Dhakhiliyah governorate and which targets 660 teachers of the governorate schools. The program will take place in the Career Development and Training Center and aims to provide the teachers with a number of foundations and necessary skills of new curriculum and its implementation mechanisms .Also, the trainees divided into various centers such as,NIzwa,Izki,Manah and Adam teachers in the training and career development center, in Samail and Bid Bid teachers in Samil center and Bahla and Hamra teachers in in Bahla and Sah Al Shamikhaat Basic Education schools. A number of Math supervisors presented the program and who have undergone the central training before the start of the program where it contains diverse work papers and practical applications including philosophy of the new curriculum and its advantages ( Student Book, Activity Book, Teacher#s Guide, Integrated CD) Skills, learning strategies, problem solving, inquiry in teaching and mechanism daily planning of lessons and practical application of lessons in the fifth and sixth grades for mathematics. Moreover, Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al - Riyami, Senior Mathematics Supervisor in Al Dhakiliayah Directorate, said that the Mathematics series applied in the Sultanate of Oman is very important to keep pace with the requirements of the century and scientific development and technology in the world where the series s will connect the theoretical side with practical reality and excellence with sequential targets starting from the first class and ending with the other classes. Also,Ahmed Al Sulaimi, the teacher from Mohammed Al Azkawi School added that The teacher, Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Sulaimi, from the school of Mohammed bin Jaafar al-Azkawi, said we enjoyed participating in the training program and learned about the various series , methods and strategies that help us teach students and relate them to the scientific environment around them in easy template. He also said that series took into the account individual differences and the activities enriched by student activity book and CD-ROM.
